Patriots' cheerleaders earn high marks

Bob Jones' varsity cheerleading squad recently won its third state championship in a row, defeating talented teams from Hazel Green and Vestavia Hills to win the title.
The varsity team also took first place in the Medium Varsity division at the UCA North Alabama Regional competition held at Buckhorn High in November, qualifying the Lady Patriots for the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando in February 2006.
The junior varsity team took first place honors in December at the Southern Regional UCA competition at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa and qualified to compete nationally in February. They also placed second in the Junior Classic against AHSAA competition. |
